As parents, it fills us with joy to hear from our daughter about all the fun as well as learning she experiences each day. Our daughter’s positive experience is further evidenced by the photos and stories that her teachers share with us via an online platform. Since her teachers regularly update us about our daughter’s school life, we always feel connected to her growth and progress.
Parents
Parent Engagement
The founding vision of the school emphasizes the important role that parents play in the education of children and promoting a vibrant school community. This role is critical and we are committed to collaborating with parents in a deep and meaningful way. Beyond arranging academic-focused or issue-specific meetings with teachers or administrators, over the years there have been a number of ways for parents to be involved in the school, including:
Our goal is to continue to deepen this relationship—through joint service activities, classroom interaction, and more. In this way, there is an ever closer integration between the school and the community of families it serves. We have also appointed a Parent Engagement Coordinator, who can be approached by individual parents with feedback, comments, and to volunteer. She can be reached using the contact form and is often outside at both drop off and pickup times at the school.
Toddle
The school currently uses Toddle to communicate with parents and students—for homework and class notices, communication with teachers, and school and department announcements.
For this reason it is important that all parents and students become familiar with this platform, which can be accessed either through a web browser or on the Toddle Parent app.
If you need assistance with this tool, assistance can be provided over the phone or on campus, during working hours.
Weather
The school makes official weather announcements on Edmodo, so parents are requested to install the app and enable notifications. In times of inclement weather, the school follows the official guidance of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEDJ) and the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG). Both of these agencies will make announcements in line with the DSEDJ’s Class Suspension Arrangements poster. Our Outdoor Activity Guidelines cover typhoons, rain, air quality, UV, and extreme temperature occurring during school hours.
Uniforms
To promote an atmosphere of discipline and order, students are required to have complete and neat uniforms to attend school. The new school uniforms can be purchased from:
