Integrated teaching practices that nurture the highest standards of intellect, character and physical development

Health and Wellness

School of the Nations believes that it is important to develop the whole student, including physical education. The PE department at SON has many offerings for students curricularly and co-curricularly. The PE department utilizes an international health and physical education curriculum. Through this programme, students learn transferable skills to gain more ability to participate in a wide variety of physical activities, including an understanding of tactics and strategies for many physical sports and actions.

Another important facet of physical education at SON is that students participate in physical fitness assessments and set goals for individual health and development. Students are also encouraged to develop interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and cooperation skills through physical activity in PE.

SON offers an array of after-school sport team activities. The offerings vary based on student interest and staff commitments, but the following opportunities are typically offered:  boys’ football, boys’ and girls’ basketball, girls’ volleyball, and tennis. These activities may occur on campus at School of the Nations or against competition across Macau. If your student is interested in participating in a particular sport, please contact the school.
