Announcement of School of the Nations Scholarship Program?
In October of 2017 the School of the Nations celebrated a momentous occasion--the 200th anniversary of the Birth of Bahá'u'lláh, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith. In addition, 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the School of the Nations. In celebration of these anniversaries, we are launching a number of special initiatives, including the School of the Nations Scholarship Program.
A fundamental conviction of our school is that diversity is a source of strength, “as it is in music where many different notes blend together in the making of a perfect chord.” We are therefore delighted to announce the establishment of the Scholarship Program, whose purpose is to increase the diversity of backgrounds of students who contribute to, and benefit from, the educational program offered at the school.
The Scholarship Program will cover 50% of the tuition cost for a maximum of 5 students with a demonstrated financial need, entering Form 1 level for the 2018/19 academic year. Beyond financial need, factors that will be considered in selecting scholarship recipients include evidence of positive character qualities, service to the community, and excellence in academics, the arts or other fields.
